You are seemingly your own worst enemy here. People are trying to help you. But your initial question was so general as to leave little choice but to point you to Oracle's Fine Manuals.

If you want help start with the version. Then add a specific description of the business or technology problem. Then, if you've read Oracle's docs, include links to those docs and examples of the apparent conflicts causing confusion.

If you can't provide sufficient background then ... YOYO.
