I have been unable to get Access XP/2003 to connect to an Oracle 10gR1 server using the full client; the 10.1.0.3 Instant Client works fine, but that's been removed from OTN/Technet and the 10.1.0.4 Instant Client doesn't have an ODBC component. I haven't tried the 10.2 Instant Client (company policy is to not use a client of a later release than the server, which is running 10.1.0.4).
The 9i client worked fine with 9i and 10gR1 servers, except for triggering a bug in the unpatched 10g server which caused massive database corruption.
