I wouldn't trust it.

Assuming 9i or 10g my recommendation wold be to create a new database from scratch. Then use transportable tablespaces to move the data.

To really help you we need to know:

1. Oracle version and edition
2. Number of tablespaces
3. Size of data files
4. Number of schemas
5. Other similar metrics
