1- I think talking to Daniel is a good idea. He is a college instructor and probably knows of several schools that have good programs. Personally I believe there are many universities around that offer a decent education at a cost that is probably half what the University of Chicago requires. The Univ of Chicago is a very good school, but I was told by a Harvard graduate that the average state school undergraduate program is just as good. The reputation of Harvard is based on its graduate schools particularly business, law, and medicine. Now the big names schools do attract more students with high test scores, but the difference in the level of education offered is probably a lot narrower than the difference in cost.

2- If possible you should get a business degree major or minor along with your computer science or programming degree. If helps to actually understand the basic of business when working to develop or modify systems. In today's world where many businesses have looked to outsource programming to low cost labor countries the people employed locally need analysis, design, and communication skills to go along with some technical skills.
