Agreed. The previous discussions mumbled someting around 15 lines.

I LIKE Mark's idea of summary followed by details (parallel thread).

Maintenance is in at least 2 parts: deciding what should be changed, and implementing the change.

I agree you your comment that the decision should be done by concensus. Committee? Ultimately fewer changes - no committee ever gets things done <g>.

I suggest that at least 2 people coordinate as volunteers for the distribution. Sadly, we have the bus syndrome, as well as vacations. I like Jonathan's periodic FAQ, but (IMO) for our purposes we need something guaranteed regular!
