There is a patch 2581911 for isqlplus under 9.2.0.1 and I'll send it to you direct.
It's not actually for the problem you describe but it may work. I am pretty sure there was also a problem in an earlier version that sounded more like what you have. Maybe try Metalink if you can as there is also a 9.2.0.2 patchset (196MB)
