I downloaded Oracle 9i PE and it didn't install. I send an email containing the errors to the various groups who had a hand in producing this software. I never said that Oracle responded. If they had to respond to every bug report they got they'd have time for nothing else! At least Micro$oft responds with hogwash and asks you to contact their pay-per-use support. Oracle doesn't even acknowledge it's users exist.

The bug is in the Sun VM that is included with the Oracle 9i installer. See the link at:
http://developer.java.sun.com/developer/bugParade/bugs/4395702.html

I'd expect Oracle to offer some help around this bug as it IS in their installation package.

And don't go off half cocked without knowing what's going on. It stands up FINE to scrutiny, unlike some folks here. Received on Tue Jan 28 2003 - 17:40:27 CST
