17 instances, with 17 databases. No OPS (We are running 3 or 4 diferent versions
of 8i both 32 and 64 bit)
It can get ugly, I wouldn't recommend going to that many, we have hit every imaginable system limit at one time or another. But it works.
It is a hoot to say the least.
