Hello Folks!

I have seen a lot of postings related to this error and having been plagued by the same nuissance for the past two days I finally found the solution:

When connecting to the Oracle database from a Microsoft application such as MS Access 2.0 to XP, make sure you use one of the reliable versions of the Oracle driver. The one I use for my clients in ODBC applications is:

Oracle ODBC Driver v. 8.01.77.00 released by the Oracle Corporation on 6/20/2002.

It works great and the error mentioned above is a thing of the past. The installation of the driver is a bit complex so if you need more info, send me an email.

Good luck!!
