Web ad-hoc reporting with Oracle tables?

I have a project to provide users ad-hoc reporting capabilities
against an Oracle table with a Web browser. Users will input various
dates wanted.



Has anyone ever done such a project, and if so, what tools were used?
(e.g. Javascript, DHTML, Dreamweaver, XML,etc)?
