Where view system output and traces on Oracle server?

When an Oracle class includes system.out.println and printstacktrace
commands, where is that output written when the class is being run
from an Oracle server (i.e. not on the client machine/browser)?  I am
having a hard time debugging my code when I can't view my output
statements or the trace...  Is this info written to some log on the
Oracle server??
