ORA-12640: Authentication adapter initialization failed   was the most detailed message i got.

so i uninstalled and reinstalled it clean....and am still getting the same error
my first assumption is that this might have somethign to do with the users and the ORA_DBA group?

does that sound right and if so what are possible fixes to this?
