Thanks for your response. I was able to get the program by looking again on the otn.oracle.com web site and downloading the "8i Enterprise Edition", then installing it. Now I know I could have done so with the Enterprise Manager download too.

The version of Oracle client that will not install on Win2000 or Win98 because it GPs is 8.0.4.0.0. However this is not a concern since the updated 8.1.7 client is available, I just didn't know the correct download until recently.
