Further to the last note I have finally connected. It would appear that when
I once had it installed I had turned off the services which ran
automatically. I uninstalled and reinstalled after turning them back on.
One good thing is I have had a thorough introduction to many of the parts of
networking side oracle already....I think there is a database there also!
