I need to run an update sql statement once a day. How can I automate this? I am familiar with how to schedule an OS command file/batch file but I don't know how to make a sql statement an OS executable file.

On the flip side, I looked at making a trigger but I don't know how to schedule the trigger to run daily, not based on another sql statement.

Thanks in advance for you help.
