Net8 works fine. With the default login, you should have a $ORACLE_HOME/bin/netasst. That's the configuration utility. I believe that after you configure netasst, a netctl appears to allow remote networking. As I remember, starting the NET8 networking was netctl start, but I am not positive. (We do not have a system configured for networking in-house.)
