Provides billable and non-billable technical, consulting and= support to Forsythe customers.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following.= Other duties may be assigned. Provide billable and non-billable= technical, consulting and support services in the following= areas: HP9000 Quick Results services, Direct Customer support= and consultation
Project and technical documentation, Develop programs and= initiatives that will grow market share in the HP/Unix product= area. Provide specialized expert level support to customers and= other Forsythe personnel for: Project management techniques and= methodology Development of Forsythe Solutions Group proposals to= meet customer needs. Management and technical presentations of= Forsythe Solutions Group proposals and capabilities. Other areas= where specializations exist. Develop expert level competency in= the following: Professional consulting methodologies Other= certifications as identified Develop/assist in developing= support policy and procedures. Develop/assist in developing= technical skills assessment services for internal/external use. = QUALIFICATIONS To perform this job successfully, an individual= must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Reasonable accommodations may be= made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the= essential functions. 3 years HP-UX system administration= experience. 2 years HP9000 hardware experience Good sales= presentation
Ability to create substantial technical documentation Experience= with Network Node Management/Openview preferred Experience with= MC/Service Guard and/or IT/O required Experience with Dec or Sun= systems helpful EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
Four year college or university program certificate; or two to= four years related experience and/or training; or equivalent= combination of education and experience. LANGUAGE SKILLS Ability= to read, analyze, and interpret common scientific and technical= journals, financial reports, and legal documents. Ability to= respond to common inquiries or complaints from customers,= regulatory agencies, or members of the business community. = Ability to write speeches and articles for publication that= conform to prescribed style and format. Ability to effectively= present information to top management, public groups, and/or= boards of directors.MATHEMATICAL SKILLS Ability to work with= mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical= inference, and fundamentals of plane and solid geometry and= trigonometry. Ability to apply concepts such as fractions,= percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.
REASONING ABILITY Ability to define problems, collect data,= establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to= interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in= mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and= concrete variables.
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS Must have valid driver= licence
Must be willing to travel 40% Valid Credit card to expense= travel
