Mark is right. The manuals are a little confusing about this unless you read them very carefully. If you don't want to be bothered with two sets of users/passwords you can create a sysman user in the database. But it's probably a better idea to get used to the separate sets of usernames/passwords to help you start thinking about the fact that they mean different things.
