Newbie - Multiple Oracle Homes

Hi...

i'm doing oracle studies at uni and am branching out into Developer 2k

when i install developer though, it says that the current oracle support files are newer than the ones i'm trying to install with developer 2k.

when i disregard this message, my original oracle connection is broken, rendering oracle useless..

the error message say that i can overt the problem by creating multiple oracle homes...here is where i'm stuck!

anyone out there know how to create multiple oracle home?
