Oracle8i server<->7.3 clients

Hi all,
we're running an 8i server (on NT4.0) and 7.3 clients (on NT4.0 too). Are there any known probs with these configuration? It seems that our application (C++, ODBC 2.5.3.1) sometimes looses the connection. That problem occurs only at two machines (we all use service pack 4). The odbc-dlls seem to have the same versions (the ones i found:). Could you please mail the answers to frank.bucher_at_gabo.de as well, because I don't read deja-news regulary.
