tcl interface to oracle8

Has anyone interfaced tcl to oracle 8 on a unix platform besides
solaris?  We have Silicon Graphics, and we need to access the database
from tcl.  Oratcl seems to be set up for Oracle7.6, and the makefile
that was supposed to build it for oracle 8 only works on solaris.  Are
there any other options?
