Maybe you can use the ALTER SESSION command, to set the NLS_DATE_FORMAT to your properly used format. Something like this:   EXEC SQL ALTER SESSION SET NLS_DATE_FORMAT = 'MM/DD/YY'; Then in your Whole session the date format is this that you have set.
