What size Sun server for Oracle 3 transaction/min system?

A client of mine has a Friday (4/30/99) deadline and is putting together a bid for an Oracle-based warehouse system on Sun. The system needs to handle about 3 transactions/second during the day, though I don't know the size of each transaction.

Any guidelines for the size of Sun server that can handle this (assuming a state-of-the-art RAID array to hold the database)?
