STUDY: ORACLE8 MORE EXPENSIVE THAN SQL SERVER http://www.microsoft.com/backoffice/sql/default.htm According to the Gartner Group, Oracle8 Enterprise Edition costs about 2.9 to 12.5 times more than Microsoft SQL Server 7.0 Enterprise Edition. As a result, the organization forecasts that Microsoft SQL Server will be the market share leader on the Windows NT platform by the year 2000.
