You can get whatever someone will pay you. I too am a literature graduate so I know that won't hurt you. The difference is that I have never gotten OCP and have never needed it to get a job. Since Microsoft is making employers so certification oriented, I might as well take the tests, but up to now, employers have simply wanted to make sure I can do the job.

Since you have no experience, OCP should help.

You'd obviously be looking for a Junior DBA position somewhere. Just make sure they know in advance that you have no real experience using Oracle.

I'm curious though, how did you get OCP without experience? Is Oracle certification as "out-of-the-book" as Microsoft certification? That's disappointing.

Good luck, and don't worry; if you can spell ORACLE, you can find work.
