vi is much more powerful (I mean by orders of magnitude), but for all practical purposes, pico is all you will ever need. I use both for different things, but I usually only use vi if I need to do a lot of substring replacement using regular expressions. Received on Sun Feb 07 1999 - 01:35:39 CST
