If anyone could please tell me whether my expectations/goals are realistic it would be appreciated. I have never used a database other than MS Access on my personal computer, so that will tell you how much I presently know about DBA or Oracle. However I am leaving for Bosnia later this month and have about 12 hours a day to read and study, and I consider myself a quick learner and am a college graduate (Administration). My question is, if I read/study material such as Basic SQL, Oracle 8 for Dummies, A Beginners Guide to Oracle , and others return from Bosnia and take the 5 day prep for the first Oracle DBA exam (SQL) would there be any chance on earth of passing or my goals unattainable ? Any honest answer would be appreciated. Thank-you in advance for your time.
