Re: Automatically Start/Stop Ora on AIX?

The Oracle 8 install guide tells how to setup a script and inittab entry for automatic startup but absolutely nothing for shutdown. They tell you to create a shell script that first does a dbshut followed by the shutdown command. IMHO, this is lame. There must be a better way....
