Thanks to everyone that pointed me to toadsoft, looks like a great tool. However, I am wondering what Unix(Solaris, specifically) tools exist, if any. The tip about using the EDITOR environment variable is helpful as was someone's suggestion of running sqlplus inside of emacs to use its
history services.

But it looks like I'm SOL, huh?
