Have you installed the java fix (adminfix.exe, I believe is what it is called)? Net8, Database Assistant, and others can either crash or just not show up due to a JAVA problem. Try setting your screen resolution down to 256 colors. If that fixes the problem (it may not even if you have the JAVA problem), then you have the JAVA problemn and need to apply the fix.
