Hi,
The problem is with windows -- not Oracle. Even with NT trying to run more than one query from the same PC is enough to lock up the "operating system". I gather that this is a flaw in the way windows handles communications between client and server.
If you must run multiple queries on the same workstation you may have to switch to Unix and X-Windows. You can then open as many windows as you want and run a query in each.
