dbms_debug is used to implement a debugger for pl/sql, in 7.3 there was a
package header, in 8.x it looks like it has gone away and there is only a
wrapped package body.
here is what the first few lines of the header stated:
00001: Rem 00002: Rem Copyright (c) Oracle Corporation 1995, 1996. All Rights Reserved. 00003: Rem 00004: Rem NAME 00005: Rem dbmspb.sql - ProBe (PL/SQL debugger) server-side packages. 00006: Rem 00007: Rem DESCRIPTION 00008: Rem Server-side packages that implement server-side Probe support. 00009: Rem 00010: Rem NOTES 00011: Rem * Must be installed as SYS. 00012: Rem 00013: Rem * This package is not intended to be used directly by the ordinary 00014: Rem user: it is a low-level interface to Probe services. 00015: Rem
