Not true. The system is so far from "perfect" that there are many ISP's (Internet Service Providers) that don't even propagate the proper newsgroups. There are bottlenecks because the articles are being copied from one computer to the next, and it only takes one overloaded computer to make postings invisible to much of the world.

I've noticed Compuserve is particularly bad for this group.

The websites www.dejanews.com and www.altavista.com allow you to search for threads, and often have the most complete collection of posts. The Oracle groups have such a high participation I that many ISP's cycle the postings ridiculously fast. So, if you have a particular question, you might want to search on it with dejanews before posting, including both the "new" and "old" databases.

Also, you shouldn't crosspost most questions between the various oracle groups.
