Oracle Login with UNIX ID?

I wonder if it is possible to let Oracle pick up my UNIX login ID and
password as my Oracle login ID and password?  I have a set of Pro*C programs
accepting login ID and password as arguments.  I like to hide those from the
user.  Any help is appreciated.
