Help with DBA monitoring tasks?

Hello,

I am a novice Oracle DBA in the UK and would be very grateful for any suggestions on what to include in a schedule of standard database and user monitoring tasks under periodicity headings of :-

start of day
hourly
daily
weekly
monthly
annually

Presumably, these would be further divided into 'essential' and 'if you have the time' !

Obviously, detailed monitoring requirements would be determined by our particular installation, numbers of databases etc. but I'm looking to accumulate a tried and tested set of standard useful dictionary enquiries, monitoring tasks and responsibilities that all self respecting Oracle DBAs would expect to undertake.
