James,

There are a couple of vendors who provide server-based ODBC solutions. My company has found performance gains between ODBC apps and Oracle via our SimbaExpress ODBC middleware product.

You can check out a free trial copy of SimbaExpress from our web site.

Randy

Hi all,

Even though ODBC provides lots of benefits, we run into the performance problem when using ODBC drivers for Oracle DBMS.

Since we already have a large code base using ODBC, we are thinking to implement the ODBC interface directly on top of Oracle/OCI.

It's not a trivial task. So I wonder if someone out there has done the similar work ?

Thanks in advance for any pointers,
