Job Posting for Database Administrator (Intermediate Systems/Analyst Programmer

DATABASE ADMINISTRATOR / DEVELOPER (INTERMEDIATE SYSTEMS/ANALYST PROGRAMMER) The Borehole Research Group seeks qualified applicants for the position of Database Administrator/Developer. Will provide support for the Ocean Drilling Program (ODP) Oracle log database, participate in on-going development of database, serve as technical contact with other ODP database projects.

BS/BA in Computer Science, Engineering, or other scientific discipline and at least 2 years related programming experience required. Fluency in C or C++ programming and HTML scripting required. Experience with UNIX, Windows and MacIntosh operating systems required. Oracle and Java experience highly desirable. Fluency in written/spoken English required, sea duty may be necessary.
