server manager / catsvrmg.sql / dba role problems

In Server Manager (motif), when clicking on objects for more information, I get the error:

MGR-02157 action UserGetSysPrivs failed.    Maybe catsvrmg.sql not run or not a DBA

ORA-00942 table or view does not exist

The Oracle Server Manager User's Guide release 2.0 advises me on page B-20 to run catsvrmg.sql as SYS then connect as a user with default role DBA. I have done this but the error persists. The only way to see the objects is to connect to svrmgr as SYS, but I would like to connect via another userid with the DBA role.

Any ideas?

And what table or view does not exist?

Thanks,
 James
