Howard, what is missing are DB_FILE_NAME_CONVERT, LOG_FILE_NAME_CONVERT and the proper permissions on the target directory. The error in the alert log should give you all the info you need. This is not complicated. Also specify "NOFILENAMECHECK" when doing the restore. File name check is here to confuse the enemy.
