Hi Pap,
Good morning,

There are a lot of paths you could take.

Disclaimer: I currently work in Google cloud .

Here is my suggestion.
As a database specialist I recommend giving this exam. https://cloud.google.com/certification/cloud-database-engineer

To get comfortable /gauging your comfort level in the cloud going through the course.
https://www.coursera.org/learn/preparing-cloud-professional-cloud-architect-exam. It provides a very good hands-on lab which I felt is the best in terms of getting comfortable in cloud tech.
If you find it overwhelming then go deeper into specific areas like docker , kubernetes(*Developer* certs cover these in depth). Getting involved in migration projects to cloud is the fastest way to learn cloud , in my opinion.

About whether these are stepping stones or not it depends on what is the requirement of the role you are in .

Feel free to reach out to me if you have any further questions .

Rgds,
