My point was about supported/supportable configurations. As you know NFS is supported for RAC "on a certified network-attached storage (NAS) filer" You certainly can get those in the cloud, but a 3rd EC2 instance running Linux isn't it. You'd need to pay for a Cloud NAS Device.
