Thank you Leng. I think the cleanest was will be to create a new db. I wouldn’t want the usage history to still be there and in question if we had a review.

Hi Sallie,

I don’t know how to turn off partitioning from the binaries themselves - I think chopt may do this.

With many oracle features, I believe the story is that even if it’s installed, you won’t be charged if you don’t use. The usage history can be viewed in dba_features_usage_statistics If you need to clear that history altogether I believe you’ll need to create a new db and import from scratch.

Cheers,

Leng.

Hi,
We have an older database that has 3 partitioned tables. We have found that there is no real need for the tables to be partitioned and plan to change them to non-partitioned. I’ve done this in our test environment using the partition_options=merge clause on the IMPDP job.

So now I’m trying to figure out how to get the db to realize that there are no longer any partitioned objects so that if there is license review it will not show any partitioning in use. Has anyone encountered this before?

Thanks!
