Well, I was taking a break from this, after concluding that AFD is not supported on Oracle Database 19.7 and OL8.

But, when 19.8 came out, I thought I'd give it another try.....sadly, *no*. ACFS is now supported on OL8, with the release of 19.8, but AFD is *still* not supported. Ugh.....

Ok, I guess it's time to give up for a while. Sort of ridiculous that Oracle let another release cycle go by and didn't add support for OL8.

Sigh.

If you're wondering, I am looking at MOS Doc ID 1369107.1. I also tr5ied it, still get eth version 'unknown' error.
