Oscar,

YAY! That's exactly the solution! It installs a boatload of demos and examples right where the docs said they'd be.

All our DBs are on X4 and X5 ODAs. When the Oracle installers set them up for us 4-5 years ago, they must not have done this step and all the subsequent ODA patches we've applied didn't patch what wasn't there.

Thanks so MUCH! Now I can get on with more informed BLOB-ing.

Oracle-L proves yet again how super valuable it is. Still no response from our Oracle contact or my SR.

Hi Jack,

I had to do the same thing a few months back. If memory serves the demos directory has to be installed separately, for 11.2.0.4 if you search for Patch 13390677 in MOS it can be found in the installation file p13390677_112040_platform_6of7.zip.

Hope that helps,
Oscar

I'm working with BLOBs and BFiles and really need the "LOB Demonstration Files" referenced in the Large Objects docs. The demo directory doesn't exist in any of our 11g or 12c Homes. I tried a new installation of 11.2.0.4 DB and Client on my Linux machine - not there either. Can't find them on MOS or TechNet.

Does anyone have them to zip up and send me? I'd be eternally grateful. I've opened an SR, but I'm not sure they can help.

Thanks.
