ah! you can store the connection string AS the credential name and it work
w/out tns entry.
mkstore -wrl scott_wallet -createCredential
\(DESCRIPTION=\(ADDRESS=\(PROTOCOL=tcp\)\(HOST=yourHost\)\(PORT=1521\)\)\(CONNECT_DATA=\(SERVICE_NAME=orcl\)\)\)
