That's a can of worms if I've ever seen one.
At a high level, I would suggest engaging resources outside of Oracle. This
forum is a good place to start, but VMware would be the next place. They
have invested heavily in Oracle on vSphere, including a number of really
good books.
When it comes to licensing, do your own research and engage resources that
specialize in this subject, specifically House of Brick
<http://houseofbrick.com>. There is so much FUD and misinformation around
this subject, it is hard to get a straight answer. The question has been
asked on this forum a number of times.
