I've been using it the OL7 repo the past three days without a hiccup. Perhaps bypass yum and verify with wget on that and other boxes.
When our firewall was blocking yum (Checkpoint does by default, because server installs and updates are bad apparently), I got an "XML corrupt" error due to the message that Checkpoint sent back instead of the expected XML.
