The other way is full export and import then. DMU is only for Unicode

Full export from database1 and then import into database2 where character set is the new 1. So you need 2 instances.

Onderwerp: Character Set Migration Questions

I have an Oracle 12.1.0.2 database that is US7ASCII and needs to be converted to WE8ISO8859P15. I tried using the DMU, but I canít figure out how to choose the characterset that I want. It only gives me the option of going to either AL32UTF8 or UTF8.

The other option Iíve come across is using the older CSSCAN utility, but that isnít installed with 12c and I canít figure out where to find it. I donít want to have to go back and build the database from scratch. Is there any other way to do this?
