Replication from on premise to Amazon RDS using dbvisit

Dear Experts,
Wanted to know if any of you has used dbvisit for replicating data from Oracle on premise to Oracle on Amazon RDS.
I haven't used it before so before proposing it for evaluation and poc, thought to seek opinions of experts, we have Oracle 10g on premise which we want to have replicated to Oracle 12c before it's decommissioned. If you have, would appreciate if you could please point to any resources for better preparation and to avoid surprises.
