GitHub would be great.  After a lot of replace-all'ing (double quotes to double single quotes, characters that didn't exist in PL/SQL developer, etc), I was able to make it work.  I think most others would prefer a plug and play version though.  Some more documentation or an example or two of each function would help too (also mentioning the directory that needs to be created, that one took me a little while to figure out with the awful error message "invalid parameters" or something of the sort). So far it works great though, thanks for putting this together! Stephen

Hi,
It'd be best on GitHub. Easy to update to new versions etc. Cheers,

Do you think you could make a downloadable package file for this?  I'm having to do a lot of replace alls to remove formatting from the html copy+paste... I can see a lot of uses with this in our dev environment provided we can get space allocated from sa and get the developers to consolidate their data source names (might be asking a lot with the latter)... Thanks, Stephen   From: Jack Applewhite <jack.applewhite_at_austinisd.org>  To: "oracle-l_at_freelists.org" <oracle-l_at_freelists.org>  Sent: Monday, February 9, 2015 9:34 AM

I've posted a PL/SQL package for User-controlled backups and restores of their schemas using DBMS_DataPump and thought others might be interested. I couldn't find anything on the Web that did what I wanted and was easy for a User to execute, so I rolled my own - with a starting point of the DataPump API examples in the Utilities doc. We're on 11gR2, Oracle Linux on ODAs.

Below is the link. Check it out and let me know where it can be improved. Also how my WordPress layout could be better. This is my first attempt at it.
